You just got back from vacation. Can you tell us your favorite vacation spots?
Robin Hlezst:
When I go on vacation, I like to go to Texas. The state of Texas is so big that it offers a wide range of vacationing opportunities.

Ira Riklis:
What are some of your favorite vacation spots?
Robin Hlezst:
This last vacation was to South Padre Island. My family and I loved the beaches. We spend hours just relaxing in the white powdery soft sand and watching the waves in the Gulf. Of course, we went snorkeling too. I also spent some of my time there fishing. It’s a
place we really want to go back to.

Are vacations at the beach your favorite?
Robin Hlezst:
I’m a well rounded guy. I like to relax in a lot of different ways. You can get a real feeling of Texas when you visit Ft. Worth. I’ve seen Wild West shows and rodeos at the Fort Worth Stockyards, and Fort Worth is home to Billy Bob’s, the world’s biggest honky
tonk. Another one of my favorite Texas vacation destinations when my goal is total relaxation is New Braunfels. It’s a small quiet town with a great water park. New Braunfels is on the Guadalupe River and you can spend a quiet and relaxing afternoon floating down it
on an inner tube.

What other areas would you put on a list of top 5 vacation spots in the state of Texas?
Robin Hlezst:
Wichita Falls is in the Panhandle Plains of Texas and is rich in historical sites and Laredo, in the South Texas Plains is almost like visiting Mexico

Ever wanted to dance in the moonlight, ponder a road not taken, catch a glimpse of an angel, gaze at the stars, sleep with a ghost, sit where a president sat, or even spend a night in jail? Well you can if you go to Boston in the summer. Let me tell you how to do all those things and more, and you will not have a criminal record when we finish, promise.
Begin by booking a room in the bed and breakfast at the Fall River Home where Lizzie Borden killed her mom and step-father back in 1892. That is if rumors of ghostly sightings are not going to bother you.
Or you could spend that night in jail we spoke of. Book a room in the converted Charles Street Jail, which was originally built in 1851. It now offers a more elegant room than the former occupants had access to, a $5,000 a night Presidential Suite.
Taking that dance in the moonlight will be easy for those who visit the Weeks Memorial Footbridge. Tango by moonlight with your sweetheart, indulge in the lively atmosphere as couples celebrate Argentine Dance. Grab your dancing shoes, the dancing is free.
Baseball fans everywhere will appreciate a look inside one of the last remaining manual scoreboards, at Fenway Park they still do it the old way. An autograph hounds paradise is found written on the inside of the left field scoreboard. Every Red Sox player in the teams history has signed his name there.
When President John Kennedy was running for President he needed to meet, and find political backers. He chose to use the room his Grandfather, the former mayor had used so successfully before him. Located in one of Boston’s oldest restaurants the Locke-Ober, this room has seen alot of history. This one is not free, just walk down the sidewalk and pretend you just left from inside, nobody will know.
In order to ponder a road not taken, like the writer Robert Frost, you have to find one. In Boston that is easy enough to do, just take a left into the Beacon Hill area. This area is home to the elite of Boston society. The people are not the reason to go however, it is their gardens. Some of the most spectacular gardens in America exist in Beacon Hill.
A visit to the Auburn Cemetery is a perfect chance to see an angel. In the Bigelow Chapel are Scottish stained glass windows, that are breathtaking in detail. The colors are perfect, even after more than two-hundred years. It was the development of this cemetery that gave us our national parks system.
Star gazers will be happy with a visit to the Coit Observatory, located at Boston University. By the end of summer the Andromeda galaxy is visible to viewers. The farthest point we can see from earth. Amazing, we can look at the moon and then dance beneath it, all in the same city. this is our Boston.

Atlantic City, New Jersey offers many historical, cultural, exciting, and relaxing attractions for a city that barely sleeps. Whatever it is you like to do, you’ll find it in Atlantic City.

1. Caeser’s Atlantic City Hotel Casino is a multi-level casino with Roman influences and a great way to have fun.

2. The Boardwalk is bustling with activity 24 hours a day. Arcades, restaurants, shops, boat rides, and people watching abound here.

3. The Atlantic City Aquarium is educational entertainment for all ages. A 25,000-gallon aquarium and plenty of hands-on exhibits await you.

4. The Steel Pier is a historic amusement park located right on the Boardwalk.

5. Storybook Land is a favorite of the kids and is just 10 miles west of Atlantic City. It’s 20 acres of family fun.

6. Trump Marina has a 70,000 sq. foot casino with bright lights and lots of action. A nice change from the Boardwalk casinos, Trump Marina has wonderful harbor views while you play.

7. Absecon Lighthouse has great views of the Atlantic City skyline and the Atlantic Ocean.

8. Renault Winery Resort & Golf offers a wine tour and then you can play some vineyard golf! This is a 7,200 yard championship golf course with great views.

9. Bally’s Wild Wild West has a themed casino of an old frontier town complete with robots that pan for gold while telling cowboy tales.

10. Lucy the Elephant is an off the beaten path historical site just 10 minutes from Atlantic City. Lucy is 6 stories high, overlooks the ocean, and is located in a park. Great family fun.

Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania was originally named Mauch Chunk (a Native American name meaning “sleeping bear”) but after the death of the famous Native American athlete Jim Thorpe in 1953, the town was renamed, not only to honor him but also to increase tourism to the area.

The town is located in eastern Pennsylvania, just a few dozen miles from the New Jersey border, in the Poconos Mountains. Philadelphia is eighty miles southeast. The nearest airport is the Lehigh Valley International Airport, near Allentown. Susquehanna Bus Lines has daily service from New York and Philadelphia.

What To See and Do in Jim Thorpe
While it’s possible to take a bus into Jim Thorpe, there is no local public transportation, so it is best to venture there br car.

Jim Thorpe abounds with sites to see and things to do.

To begin with, one can simply drive around the area and enjoy the picturesque mountain scenery, particularly in the fall when the colors of the leaves are changing. The town has been given the nickname “Switzerland of America,” because of its scenery. It’s also called the Gateway to the Poconos, for those travelers coming from the east.

The adventurous can go whitewater rafting in the Lehigh River during spring, summer and fall, and skiing and snowtubing in the Blue Mountain Ski Area during the winter. After a hard day out in the sun, they can stop in at the Galen Glen Vineyard and Winery to pick up a little refreshment.

For those of a more sedate turn of mind, one can visit the many historical buildings and locations in the town. Of course, one can’t be in Jim Thorpe without visiting the Jim Thorpe monument, or pay their respects at his gravesite.

The town was founded as Mauch Chunk in the 1800s, and has many buildings remaning from that time period. In downtown Jim Thorpe is the Asa Packer Mansion, circa 1800s. St. Mark’s Church is of Gothic architecture and well worth a visit, as is Millionaire’s Row, a series of mansions along Broadway – the town’s main street. Then there’s the Old Jail Museum. And perhaps best of all (from a train enthusiast’s standpoint), there is the Lehigh Gorge Scenic Railway, which leaves out of Jim Thorpe. It operates only in from the last weekend in May to the last weekend in December, and only on the weekends.

Places to Stay
Adventurers who like to camp will find three campgrounds in the area. Bed and breakfastes provide a more intime atmosphere – these include the Sweet Reflections Bed and Breakfast (four elegantly furnished rooms), or the Grassy Hill Bed and Breakfast, located in nearby Palmerton. There are several guesthouses and a couple of motels, as well as the Hotel Switzerland.

Plenty to see, plenty to do, nice places to stay. That’s Jim Thorpe, PA.

8. Did you know Philadelphia is also renowned for its soft, salty, chewy pretzels? The Philly treats are available at many bakeries, including Center City Pretzel Co. 816 Washington Avenue.
